Trailer Roundup

Hey, here are some fun trailers that you may or may not have seen. No, one of them is not the new Star Trek trailer.

Feel free to check these out in their uncompressed Glorious Quicktime form at apple.com/trailers. Except for the Watchmen trailer, which is as of this typing a Yahoo exclusive.

Time Crimes

I hate the fact that this film's title font is in Times New Roman. More importantly, however, I love a good time travel story and I hear that this film has the goods. I also like the fact that the trailer realizes that you've probaby watched a movie or two before so it doesn't bother trying to hide the fact that the guy in the bandages is the triple.Time Crimes might hit a theater near you if your local art house manager is sharp enough.

Dear Zachary

Holy crap, guys, this is a serious documentary. One of those documentaries that is just insane. You can't make this stuff up. On the surface, it sounds like it's pretty heavy, but I hear that the situation is even more tragic than the trailer shows.Dear Zachary is also slowly making the rounds on the art house circuit.

Let The Right One In

Now that you're suitably depressed, here's a Scandinavian horror film for you. But it's not your typical genre-type stuff. See what I mean.Let The Right One In is currently playing in select cities. It is also slated to be hacked up in a Hollywood remake very soon, because that's a sure recipe for success. Really, it always works really really well and is never a bad idea at all.

Watchmen

This is a new, longer trailer, and in keeping with everything I've seen so far regarding the film, it's still a very mixed bag. It looks okay, but I dunno. Apparently there's some major deviations from the book with regards to the climax, and the Rorschach narration is pretty meta if they're trying to comment on Christian Bale's Batman voice. In fact, the whole thing is pretty meta and I wonder if the average viewer will understand that that the book is a commentary on the blah blah blah nobody cares look there's superheroes blowing up stuff. Watchmen hits on March 6, as if you didn't know.

So there's some trailers.

Election Day Message

Greetings, fellow humans. Dr. Mo here with a special reminder this election day. Now, I'm not endorsing any one candidate here (I mean, seriously, come on), but just watch this video and see who makes the most sense.

When you consider the facts, it's really a no-brainer.

P.S. I saw a Nader 2008 sign on somebody's lawn over the weekend. Hilarious!
